About Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic healing system from India which has been practised for more than 3,000 years. It focuses on creating a balance between the mind, body and spirit to promote good health and wellbeing.

In Ayurvedic medicine, everyone is made up of the five primary elements; space, air, earth, fire and water.

In the human body, these elements come together to form 3 types of energies or Doshas:

  • Vata (Space & Air)
  • Pitta (Fire & Water)
  • Kapha (Water & Earth)

The Doshas influence our whole being from the way we move and how we interact with others, to the way our body reacts to the foods we eat. Everyone has a mix of all 3 doshas but there will usually be one that dominates. By understanding your own dosha and how this influences you, you will be able to make more informed choices about the way you live and nourish yourself. It’s all about finding a balance that will allow you to be your best self 😊

We can’t wait to meet some new faces and introduce them to Ayurveda 🌸

Tickets for the workshop can be purchased in-store at Hyde and Seek.
