At a recent workshop, our guests created Ayurvedic body scrubs according to their dosha profile and here we are sharing the recipes which you can easily create at home.
We have used Epsom salts as the base because it’s great for exfoliating and remineralising the skin. If dissolved in the bath, the salt is absorbed through the skin to relieve muscle aches and pains as it neutralises acid and reduces inflammation.
The base oil we use is sesame oil as this is good for all three doshas. The measures are based on a 250ml container and you should use enough salt to fill most of the space, leaving a little room for the other ingredients.

Ooh these look good enough to eat – and I can almost smell them! I don’t know what kind of ayurvedic type I am but I mean to study ayurvedic practices in the coming months…
